Welcome
to the official site of Punjabi author, poet and journalist Shameel. Author of
several books of prose and poetry, Shameel has been the Editor of well known
Punjabi publications including a Punjabi daily newspaper, Desh Sewak, Chandigarh. Born in 1970
in Ropar district of Punjab, he now lives in Toronto, Canada.
While two books of his poems have been published, he has also figured in many
anthologies of Punjabi poetry. His books on Punjab's social and political
issues have been widely discussed in Punjab's
intellectual circles. He also writes regularly on social, political and
cultural issues of Punjab for various Punjabi
and English publications
